February 6th (Tokyo):
The next morning we were a little slow to get out of bed. Plus it was raining and grey outside, so we decided to do as much indoor sightseeing as possible. Museums! They're not just for school field trips any more! We checked out the Edo Museum and the Yebisu Beer Museum (maybe not the best choice, considering what we did the night before) and then went to Sushi Daidokoya, which was highly recommended by Jonathan.
If you ever find yourself in Tokyo, you HAVE to go to Daidokoya. You'll immediately become a sushi snob after tasting their oh-toro, or "supreme fatty tuna," one of the most highly prized cuts of sushi tuna. It comes from the belly and can cost a fortune, but they do 2 pieces of nigiri with giant slabs of oh-toro for 525 yen (less than $6). A bloody good deal that you have to taste to believe.
After sushi the girls went out for some karaoke and us guys went back home to take it easy and enjoy some much-needed down time.
